Miltos leaves for Erzurum to find his beloved, but is arrested in front of Iphigenia, who cannot hide her unrest. Melike secretly sees Iphigenia praying and reveals that her family is crypto-Christians. In Constantinople, Ali finds the parents of Iphigenia and gives them her letter.
