Episode 23

YAT-YUEN and KAI-KEI notice there is a disease-stricken girl after they are trussed up, whereas the Chief denounces that their people have passed away one after another ever since the Han Chinese arrived at their Miao Fortress, so he is going to kill the two and make them the sacrifice for his dying daughter. Revealing her identity as a doctor, KAI-KEI claims that she is able to cure the girl. Later on through her investigation, she discovers that the water from the mountain is contaminated and suggests that the Chief should abandon their village and move out with the other villagers.
