In China’s mountains, Narumi, Lucille, and Ming-Xia find Ming-Xia’s father, Liang Jian-Feng, with Zonapha at an Aqua Vitae spring. He recounts his ancestors, Yin and Jin, who studied alchemy in Prague. Narumi recognizes the story, recalling the brothers’ love for Francine, which caused their rift.
