The birthday of Marina Alexandrovna becomes a day of unity of two generations. Parents offer Tanya and Ivan to live for the time of their vacation in their apartment. Upon returning home, Pavel learns that Varya has left for good. Lydia Tarasovna shows her son a letter with irrefutable evidence Varied unseemly past.
