The team race to save a critically injured woman, trapped in the wreckage of a van that’s been crushed between two lorries on the M18. A riverside barbecue turns into a tricky rescue operation when one of the guests falls into the water – and another follows him with painful consequences. Former Canadian cop Flash is called to a drink driver who has overturned her car and the team ready their breathing apparatus sets after a derelict school catches fire and they are called to back up firefighters braving collapsing floors in the smoke-filled interior. A teenage girl is stuck at the bottom of a roadside ravine and HART is called to haul her to safety using ropes and there’s a bizarre 999 from the driver of a refrigerated lorry who’s found a party of chilly asylum seekers in the back of his truck. Meanwhile, a disabled man is badly hurt after his adapted people carrier overturns and a horse rider’s fall on a remote bridleway creates a challenge for her rescuers.
