The flight starts from the woods in Doorn, in the middle of the Netherlands. Each fugitive receives a QR code for which they must create a password to open it later. The extraction point will not be revealed for seven days, leaving it unclear who the hunters are targeting. At headquarters, they are aware that something is about to happen, but the exact moment is unknown. The fugitives are designated as Triple A targets. Information is requested from various agencies, including BRP data and data on the ‘inner cycle’, in order to obtain a complete overview of individuals and their connections. In the Doorn area, hunters inquire whether anyone has seen ten people. Each fugitive is assigned a unique location in North Holland. The nephews are considered easy targets, as their ‘inner cycle’ is already under taps and surveillance. Meanwhile, hunters are on their way to a relative of the nephews.

Things are incredibly tense with the cousins, but will they manage to escape now that hunters are patrolling everywhere? Three hunter teams are now actively searching. It is day 2 and the fugitives still need to withdraw cash, which is naturally noticed at HQ. The hunters remain focused on the cousins and investigate everything related to their family. Others are in Culemborg scanning a QR code with a phone, but aren't quite sure what to do with the result. All the fugitives are still receiving hints via family or friends, so they have to figure those out as well. If someone receives something, their social media profile is updated. However, this does not go unnoticed at HQ, where the tactical detectives are hard at work. Cameras are installed at ATMs everywhere, and the fugitives know this all too well, so they do everything they can to withdraw cash unidentifiably.

One of the cousins was caught but managed to escape with a bit of luck. What now, without a backpack and with only what he has left? Some people don't realize at all that you stand out if you spend a long time browsing social media profiles on a mobile. HQ did notice this and sent a few hunters in that direction, but can those two still get away in time? Because they were too busy with their phones, they didn't realize there were hunters nearby and so… Everyone knows they need to be in North Holland on day 3. The fugitives are receiving information from their inner circle, but info has already been intercepted for some. They are also being given part of the extraction point for their bus route. Some are already looking for bus route names. One couple remains completely under the radar by doing everything analog, really old school. The bus route has five stops, so they need help from people who are open to that.

On day 3, the mission is to be in North Holland. Not everyone has a map or mobile phone. A cousin still needs to get to a bus stop, but this poses a danger due to the possible presence of hunters. The Raadhuisje bus stop is a high-risk location in this regard. Nevertheless, the cousin reaches his destination. The question now is what to do with this information while trying to move around and avoid cameras. The mobile phone only contains a signal and the number of an acquaintance, who may be being wiretapped. The increased activity in North Holland has been noticed by the hunters. All of the fugitives' contacts are being wiretapped, making alternative communication channels necessary. Within today or tomorrow, the fugitives' acquaintances will receive more information about the extraction location. Meanwhile, a fugitive's prepaid phone remains switched on, acting as a live beacon and thereby posing a serious risk.

Attention is focused entirely on two radio DJs waiting for information regarding a colleague's extraction point. However, this colleague has a beacon under his car, allowing the hunters to accurately track his movements. It is therefore most sensible to stay out of camera range, which in practice is only possible on foot. Meanwhile, the hunters move quietly, stay under the radar, scout various directions, and make as little noise as possible. In a large city, one pair operates highly camouflaged and shows great creativity with the use of cardboard. Another pair, on the other hand, works clumsily: they repeatedly use their prepaid phone, causing headquarters to receive a notification every time. It is advisable to limit contact with the contact person to a minimum to prevent this from being noticed by headquarters. On day four, a breakthrough finally occurs and new information becomes available.

Day 4 has arrived, and it is now crucial that they secure the additional information to determine the location of the extraction point. However, there are already fugitives who possess this data and know exactly where to go. Some immediately understand the meaning and location, while others are still searching. Meanwhile, the hunters have also obtained this information, after a couple mistakenly believed themselves to be safe and were followed closely without their knowledge. The tension is rising: who will reach the extraction point first and manage to stay out of the hunters' clutches?

The fugitives and the pursuit team look back with suspense and emotion on their gripping adventure in Hunted VIPS. In a world full of adrenaline and strategy, the highlights came to life in moments of unexpected escapes, clever moves, and intense collaboration. But the low points also left their mark: moments of doubt, missed opportunities, and decisions that, in hindsight, perhaps could have been made differently. Candidly, they share their experiences, talk about the choices that shaped their path, and reflect on what made them stronger and what, with the benefit of hindsight, they might handle differently. A look back full of suspense, insight, and unforgettable memories.
