As KIT is about to summon SING to give evidence, the news of his death arrives. TANG LOK WAI is therefore released. VINCENT is astonished to learn that TANG LOK WAI has used him in his plot to kill the witness. Knowing why BEN has been trying to avoid her, LING gets so angry and blames him for being too childish. VINCENT is charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice but is found not guilty, because JESSICA does not appear in court to testify against him. JESSICA gives VINCENT a slap when she knows that he has lied to exonerate himself from the charge. WAI will be granted the right to practice as a lawyer again. To express his deepest thanks to LI for her help and support all through these years, WAI invites her to dinner.
