Esme forces Cookie into buying a taxi with the money he inherited. Brendan brings a ten-year-old girl with polio to the hospital after her mother deserts her. Vicky gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to work in the States, and Bob gets electrocuted and is rushed to hospital.
