The Winter Sea / Away

Laura thinks back to Paolo's confession and can't come to terms with her partner's betrayal. Paolo tries to make amends, but the writer won't listen to reason and forces him to keep the secret from their children. Adriano continues to frequent Bea's house, and Monica, to disrupt her brother-in-law's life, hatches a plan to sabotage his routine. After spying on Adriano, Monica becomes obsessed with his physical prowess. The ornithologist gives her walkie-talkies because he has decided to accept Bea's proposal to move in together. In the editorial office, Monica berates her friends for not encouraging her to indulge Adriano's feelings because now she has lost him forever.
