June 2024 Recap: Russia-North Korea Pact, IDF Hostage Rescue, & US Weapons Hit Russia

The month of June in 2024 saw several major geopolitical developments around the world. For the first time since the War in Ukraine began, American-made weapons were used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack targets within Russia-proper - marking the first time in history that US-weapons were used to attack a nuclear-armed power. Russia and North Korea signed a landmark mutual-defense-pact, cementing their alliance further with North Korea vowing to support Russia militarily in Ukraine.
