We soak in the scenery from Goathland to Levisham, an iconic engine goes on a mission, and the lineside team are in action monitoring the UK's only venomous snake.
The iconic 'Tornado' takes us from Levisham to Pickering, wildfires threaten the railway's summer season, and guide dog puppies are welcomed aboard.
We travel from Whitby to Grosmont in time for the railway's steam gala. A 60-tonne locomotive is transported 300 miles from the Isle of Wight to Yorkshire. And walkers take on 'the rail trail'.
