Dane is twenty-nine but still lives with his parents - his bedroom being the cluttered room where his mother keeps her cleaning materials and he is considered unfavourably alongside sarcastic twin sister Kadean. He feels stuck in his clerical job with hated boss Steve and would love to make his own way in the world, supported by girl-friend Nicola. Unfortunately all his aspirations come to nothing.
