In 1998, a barn fire united volunteer firefighter Jess Graber and brewery owner George Stranahan, sparking a friendship that led to Colorado's first Rocky Mountain Single Malt. Founded in 2004, Stranahan's uses pure mountain water and local barley to craft a smooth, flavorful whiskey that set the standard for American Single Malt.
