Raghunath and Tatya Dixit arrive at Bithur with the 'shagun' with a message. But the Peshwa tells them he won't let Manu wed Gangadhar unless Gangadhar brings the 'baraat' to Bithur. Vahini feels sorry for the way she treated Manu. Moropant tells Vahini that as Gangadhar is facing crises in Bundelkhand, he won't come to Bithur, due to which the 'shagun' is being sent back. Moropant tells Raghunath and Tatya that the Peshwa has agreed to send Manu to Bundelkhand, but he won't attend the wedding.
