Maina Bai gives gifts to the girls who apply henna for Indu. Vahini Saheb, Moropant and Manu search for the necklace and the Peshwa speaks to Indu. Gangadhar is invited for the ceremony where an invitation card is given to the bridegroom's family. But Gangadhar tells Raghunath that he cannot go for the ceremony without his necklace. Manu imagines a confrontation between the Peshwa and Gangadhar and the King of Kashi's threat to go back with his son. Manu decides to speak to Gangadhar.
