Gangadhar asks Laxmibai if she agrees to the marriage. Laxmibai is heartbroken that Gangadhar is happy to remarry. Laxmibai is shocked when she comes to know that it is not Gangadhar who is the groom, but Nanasaheb. Gangadhar tells Laxmibai that no one can take her place in his life. Laxmibai gets angry that Gangadhar led her to believe that he was getting married. Gangadhar apologises to Laxmibai. Nanasaheb tells Laxmibai that Gangadhar had gone to Kanpur to meet Lord Dalhousie to get Samar Singh pardoned. Laxmibai realizes her mistake.
