Laxmibai and Tatya Guru free Jhalkari's father and brother. Jhalkari's father pleads with Laxmibai to free Jhalkari once, and they would leave Jhansi forever. Marshall is furious and says that they must have gone to Ganesha's temple. A worried Jhalkari goes to Aaishri and confides the truth to her.
