The whole kingdom of Jhansi welcomes Gangadhar and Manu. Colonel Sleeman is confident that he will be able to annexe Jhansi as Manu will bear an heir only after a few years. Moropant tells Manu that she is now the Queen of Jhansi and henceforth responsible for her people. Gangadhar and Manu seek the blessings of Goddess Durga.
