NGOK becomes so cold and indifferent towards TING after returning home. NGOK finds SIN’s letter, from which he learns that she is going to leave Beijing in order to save him from any further trouble. Immediately NGOK hurries to the train station to look for her. CHEUNG TSOK-LAM has an audience with HOI, during which he suggests reinstating the monarchy and declaring HOI to be the Emperor.
