AU's daughter, KAO, is one of the emperor's concubines. However, the emperor never visit her. AU is very upset with HEI. FONG's grandfather, LI, is sick. HEI visits LI with FONG. LI takes the chance to introduce his son, TAO, to HEI. HEI appreciates TAO who looks very smart. He orders him and MING to investigate a recent 'murder beggars case'.
