Richard McGuire

Richard McGuire is an Alabama man and YouTuber known as "Southern Pirates Outdoors" who made headlines in April 2020 for trespassing on Disney World's abandoned Discovery Island during the COVID-19 lockdown. He described the abandoned, closed-off island as a "tropical paradise" and intended to camp and film there, resulting in a police manhunt, arrest, and a lifetime ban from Disney properties. The story of McGuire's arrest was highlighted in the 2026 documentary film Stolen Kingdom.
