Harry Springer
Harry Springer is the vocalist, guitarist, and main creative force behind the alternative rock duo Moon Walker. A Colorado native, his musical journey began long before his current success, having spent years playing in metal and punk rock bands alongside drummer Sean McCarthy. This long-standing collaboration culminated in a move to Los Angeles, where Springer decided to redirect his artistic energy into a project that blended the rawness of garage rock with the groove of funk and the grandeur of classic 70s rock. The founding of Moon Walker occurred during a period of introspection forced by the 2020 pandemic. Springer, who already worked as a producer and songwriter for other artists, began composing songs that reflected his own social and political frustrations, resulting in their debut album, Truth to Power (2021). He is known for his vibrant visual style and a compositional approach that isn't afraid to tackle thorny issues like corruption, media, and inequality, often wrapped in infectious guitar riffs and expressive vocals reminiscent of names like Jack White and David Bowie. In addition to his work with Moon Walker, Harry Springer maintains an active career as a music producer, using his home studio to shape the band's unique sonic aesthetic, which values an analog and raw sound. His ability to fuse biting social commentary with danceable melodies has established him as one of the most authentic and prolific figures in the new wave of indie rock.
