Elisa De Block Coupez

Elisa De Block Coupez (2001) is a director/writer (in training) based in Belgium. Coming from a sociology studies-background she decided to take a turn to film studies at KASK, based in Ghent, where she is currently starting her Master's Degree. Themes that are explored in her work are on one hand societal questions such as gentrification, climate change and dynamics of (social/economical/gender)inequality. On the other hand she works on themes such as coming-of-age, (gender)identity and family dynamics. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Film with the shortfilm 'Burning Water'.
