Joel Kerr

Joel Kerr (b. 1995) is a filmmaker based in London, working in experimental short film, documentary, music and fashion. His work ranges in themes, including exploring nature and physical performance and intimate portraits of real-life subjects. He collates sounds and field recordings and works with artists to sculpt his sound scapes, making each project unique in its visual narrative and world making. Joel often employs analogue media and predominately shoots with 16mm film, which shows the evidence of the elements it has been exposed to, thus the materiality of this medium is forming part of the narrative.
