1922 - 2009 Dančuo studied singing with Z. Šira and Lee Vomačka and double bass at the Music School "Vatroslav Lisinski" in J. Novoselo. In 1948 he began performing as a pop singer on Radio Zagreb, then gained popularity as a pop singer, performing at pop concerts and events in Zagreb and other cities and on guest appearances and tours abroad (Europe, America). He developed into an excellent interpreter of romances and old town songs. He achieved particular success at the Kajkavian song festivals "Krapina", where he premiered the songs Pod starim krovovima, Buš se vrnul and Kam da se pojde, and at the "Slavonija" festivals in Požega, where he became famous with the song Sviraj, sviraj Pišta baći. Since 1951, under a contract with Jugoton, he has recorded about forty gramophone records. He won several awards and recognitions (Peharček moj at the Krapina Festival) and in 1980 received the Croatia-koncerta Award "Vlaho Paljetak" for his lifetime achievement. At the same time, from 1972 he worked at the Insurance Institute »Croatia« in Zagreb, where he retired in 1981. After the breakup of Yugoslavia, he lived in Belgrade.
