Rachel Lindsay Rene Bush (born May 25, 1970, in Hollywood) is an American actress. She is the identical twin sister of Sidney Greenbush. They rose to fame for their joint portrayal of Carrie Ingalls in the American family series Little House on the Prairie (1974). Their father, Billy Green Bush, and their brother, Clay Greenbush, are also actors. The twins gained their first on-screen experience in commercials, including those for Doublemint Gum and Mattel. In 1973, they appeared in the TV movie Sunshine. A year later, they were cast as Carrie Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie, a role they played together until 1982. In the credits, they were listed as “Lindsay Sidney Greenbush.” In Season 5, they both appeared together in the episode “The Godsister,” in which Carrie invents an invisible friend. After the series ended, both appeared on camera only once more: Lindsay in 1983 in the series Matt Houston, and Sidney in 1984 in the film Hambone & Hillie. After that, they ended their acting careers. In 1998, the twins were inducted into the “Hall of Great Western Performers” at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for their roles in Little House on the Prairie. Both graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1988. Lindsay has a daughter and two stepchildren. Lindsay is now separated from her husband, Frank Dornan.
